Funding from Alletess and strategic consulting partner, Charles Roussel, will support local non-profit, Community Servings’ Food & Health Policy Program. This organization delivers medically tailored meals to individuals and families living with critical illnesses, among other services.
Rockland, MA – Today, Alletess Medical Laboratory, and their Strategic Advisor Charles Roussel of Reflective Strategies, announced a donation to Jamaica Plain-based, non-profit, Community Servings. Alletess is honored to support Community Servings in their efforts to provide nutritious, medically tailored, home-delivered meals to critically ill patients and their families.
Alletess President and CEO Veronica Kent said today, “We feel that Community Servings’ mission and expertise regarding food science and critical, needs-based distribution aligns with our organizational values and mission. Alletess is a pioneer in food allergy and sensitivity testing just as Community Servings is at the forefront of using food science to design medically tailored meals for those with specific medical needs. We both champion the belief that food is medicine!”
In addition to their roles as corporate benefactors and donors, Veronica and Charles recently lead a volunteer team from Alletess Medical Laboratory at Community Servings. Over a dozen employees contributed to the daily preparation of the 850,000 meals that will be delivered to 2,300 critically ill individuals and their families annually. Volunteers spent their time shredding chicken, chopping salad greens, filling soup and salad bowls, and packaging and sealing meals. The Alletess team could not be more proud and supportive of their strategic partnership with Community Servings as both volunteers and benefactors.
